Posted July 1, 2011 10:13:00 A new report has revealed that a rare disease most likely caused the deaths of several dolphins in the Swan River in 2009.
The Swan River Trust has released findings into the deaths of six dolphins over a period of five months.
The report found that the rare disease morbilli-virus was detected in two of them and could not be ruled out in the others because their bodies were so badly decomposed.
It is the second confirmed case of the disease being found in marine mammals in Australia.
